Did there used to be a UK version of boards or does anyone know of some sort of equivalent? I thought I was on it before but maybe im just imagining things. Boards is so popular so how do other countries not have something similar!

Not really an AH-style answer but there did used to be localised Boards sites but they were shut down following the hack last year.

There used to be one, it never came back after that hacking episode last year. There is a UK forum in the Region section now instead. I suppose the closest thing to boards in the UK would be digitalspy.

    I'd imagine they do.

I've been there, it's cool, KeithAFC pretends to be a Scottish separatist on it, all lots of fun.

Why did they shut the international sites down following the hacking episode?

Digitalspy would be the closest. People tend to think it's all showbiz gossip, but whilst it has nowhere as many subforums as boards.ie, it has plenty besides showbiz stuff.
