I tried to play a game just now and thought Id download the update. Now that Iv done it, the game wont play. I want to restore my system to a specific point in time, lets say.. 6 hours ago.
How do I go about doing this? I know its possible because Iv done it in the past to resolve issues, just cant remember how to.

    Cheers

System restore is unlikely to uninstall the programme update.

If the game still doesn't work after the restore then uninstall the game download the latest version and reinstall, or if it is a game you have the CD for reinstall it from the CD and don't bother with the latest update.

I have the cd. I uninstalled it then installed it. It still wont work. The system restore didnt do anything because it cancelled itself for some unknown reason.

I've never had the exact same problem as you but delete it again, run CCleaner and then re-install it. This has worked for me with similar problems before.

For some reason, the game was installed twice. I didnt even know this was possible. I tried to uninstall one copy of it. Even after 2 hours it still hadn't gotten past 20%, so I cancelled and tried the other. It took a few hours but eventually uninstalled, the other disappeared at the same time. I reinstalled the game and now everything is grand.

    Cheers
