Cant send text messages on vodafone landline???

Hi All, I purchased a BT phone in argos recently with the capability of sending and recieving text messages, When it set it up it asked me for send & recieve service numbers!! my provider for my home phone and broadband is vodafone! any one ideas wat these numbers are???? Thanks
