'not the most politically correct' = 'a bit of a racist'.
    She's just a tool, she's a dime a dozen unfortunately though.

There was another funny parody/response video....but i bloody can't find it now!

Thing is, she's an obvious airhead, her language is racist but i think she's more ignorant....in her pretty white blonde circle she probably never mixes with any races or even certain social circles/classes. While i don't agree with her words or the basis for uploading the video i do feel for her.
She was stupid, but to have your life destroyed?....she had threats/hate etc., personal info posted on the net....rumours surrounding her within UCLA etc.

All her "friends" dumped her to save their own skin, she's appears rather shallow and superficial....but i do have some empathy on a human level and not want her life destroyed long term.

Maybe she shouldn't have put her thoughts on youtube, she obviously wanted an audience.

^ i agree...she did quickly delete her initial video....but it went viral quicker, no going back now. It appears her daddy has some issues as well according to some of his FB postings.

Was thinking about 'viral' earlier, for some reason the word annoys me, maybe because the only people (till now) that I have heard it are american tv presenters who say it in a way that gives you the impression they have never used the internet in their lives. :p

Thought the video was going to be worse... But I'm all for wrecked lives from stupidity online. I remember last year, some guy put a video of him fuking his dog on youtube but made it public by mistake. Just stupid and everybody he knew had it sent to them.

Off-topic but kid gets it on with his dog, puts it on youtube and calls it something like "for davesfarm" but makes it public. davesfarm was a huge youtube channel and it came out that the guy was a convicted sex offender.
His friend sees it, puts it on 4chan and it gets sent to everyone from his parents to teachers to cousins etc.

Note to self, never confuse davesfarm with porbhub.

Anywayzzzzzz, that UCLA student was obviously a grade Q student. How could she possibly think she could get away with being openly racist while name dropping UCLA.

Well I'll inevitably get some stick for this but I found myself agreeing with her up until her stupid "ching chong" remark.

I can't say I know much about all Asians, but it's no lie that many Chinese parents of students in China coddle their kids in the way she described. In some cases they will sleep outside the student dormitory. Like literally outside on the ground.
Students who should by now be grown men and women have stunted emotional development as a result of this attitude by their parents.
Not all of them of course, but I'd go as far to say a majority of them.

And the phone thing, again -sorry but it rings true. Chinese people are notoriously loud on the phone and in the most inappropriate of circumstances.
Back in the days when I was a teacher I had to have parents removed from class for shouting on the phone at the back (also smoking, but thats a different thread).

When I first came to China I was a little shocked to hear so many people fighting and arguing on the phone, only to learn that they were actually just having a normal conversation.

Too bad this girl didn't have the wit to phrase her complaints in a more tactful manner. She's just a little ignorant, not a rare trait amongst any young person.

Yes but you were/are in China and that was their culture. Would many Chinese people in China complain about other Chinese people's parents etc.?

TBH The girl had a point to make. She just went about it the whole wrong way. Typical dumb, ignorant yank.

I have no sympathy for her at all. Maybe they could show this in schools to younger yank kids and explain the impact it had on her life as a consequence. Might make them think twice..

Actually yes, quite a lot of Chinese people that I know in China would complain about this.
It's considered "Nongmin" behavior, ie: "peasant" behavior.
Not the fairest way of describing it but thats their word for it.
    Typical dumb, ignorant yank.
Hmm, like to make youtube rant on that particular subject? :P
