certain nationalitys scrounging

Hi Basically i just want to know your opinions on certain gypsy type foreigners /nigerians who are here with the last four five years now and have no intention of getting jobs just want to stay in their new council houses and have loads of kids and get benefits.

I myself am on benefits but i work and want to work to better myself, these people have no intention of doing anything.

I know their are Irish people the same god knows loads of them but this is not my point.

a couple next door to me have told me that they left their country because they knew in Ireland they would get a subsidized house and a high payment every week

They now have three kids grown up two of which are girls and now have their own house with two three kids in tow

Would we really be able to do this in their country

i simply cannot afford to with rent childcare ect i am a single mother working full time for 333 euro per week but at least i am trying, maybe if i get promoted a will then be in a position to do so......
these guys will never do that

52 inch plasma they bought today and both on the dole...they have gangs in every Sunday night especially during the summer when we have to be up early for work it seems they are just here to live it up.

It just sounds like you are jelly.

Life isnt fair, get over it or do something about it. If they arent doing anything illegal then so what if they are on benefits, they may be entitled to them.

If they are doing something illegel, then inform the relevant people.

I think you should promote the idea of these people's well-being to the status of deity in your thinking and draw sustenance, light and warm positive feelings from the idea that their life may be made better by coming to this country and having you as a neighbour; or at least introduce yourself to the concept of 'live and let live'.
That way, you can disregard why, exactly, they have legally been given residence, as they're here now and have every right to be, and can continue to hold your opinion on on immigration without being the type of busy-body who interferes in other people's lives, causing trouble where there is no call for it.
You might, even, end up being good friends with them.

You clearly dislike these types of people, yet you aspire to be like them

Focus on whats important:

• Food
• Shelter
• The safety of your kids

If you can provide that, them fook what everyone els has! You are not uniquely struggling in Ireland.

Well personally Im loaded with cash. I have a nice big car, a nice big 2500sq ft house in a premium southside address with no mortgage, a large bank account with no debts and no kids to scrounge off me. A smokin hot girlfriend, plenty of friends and a wide social circle of interesting and successful peers.

I dont worry about what my neighbours do to get cash or how they choose to spend it.

Mandy there was a Nigerian woman in my college class last year with three kids, a fairly demanding course and a job. There was another Nigerian girl there and she was also working her way through college. Its a bit of an unfair generalisation.

Mandy, it's probably fair to say that you're a bigot and possibly even a racist, at least judging from your post. Have a long hard look at yourself. To be honest, I'm more disgusted by people like you than those "Nigerians/Gypsy type foreigners (otherwise known as fargnnners)...the vast majority who left crappy circumstances and came to our country to make a better life for themselves...just like we did (and I am in fact doing right now) when we emigrated to different countries in the past and in recent times. I plan to claim the dole here in Spain for a month and a half this Summer because I'll be temporarily out of work and I'm entitled to do so just as these people are and just as you are.

Your hate is misguided...if it really bugs you, maybe you should complain or learn to be a little more tolerant and perhaps ask yourself what your REAL problem with these people is.
