Is there anything out there for indented scars?

I suffered from acne in my teens. It left bad scars. The redness I can cover up with foundation but it's the deep scars (pitted scars as they're called) that no make up will cover up, there's basically holes on my face :( I guess I've just gotten used to it. I had a very bad experience with a cosmetic procedure a few years ago, a glycolic peal that went wrong. My face took ages to recover. I looked like a burn victim, it was awful :( so that's put me off any procedure like that. Is there any make up or paste or anything out there that you can put under foundation to even out the holes? The likes of Vichy dermablend etc are good make up for scars but no good for holes like that. Bio Oil hasn't helped much either.

Or is this miracle cover up yet to be invented? :o Would love to know of anyone that has similar problems and have found something that helped. Thanks! :)

Hey sorry to hear about your skin, but isn't there some treatment that you can get to even out your skin?

I'm not sure if there would be any make up or cream to cover it but there is something called Laser resurfacing for facial acne scars. It is probably expensive but might be worth saving up for.

I was hoping to keep away from anything cosmetic. Not only because of my bad experience but also I can't afford it to be honest. Not right now anyway. I was more looking for any kind of make up that might help but thanks for your comments. The miracle product probably doesn't exist anyway :o

I have the same problem and my dermatologist perscribed retin a cream. It's a really common problem and I'm not sure that anything you buy over the counter would reduce it.
You could maybe try microdermabrasion which is expensive but sometimes there are offers, check out the deals websites as I have seen a few crop up.
I had one session before and I did find it good but unfortunately scaring is not something that disappears overnight.

There is a silicon gel for keloid and hypertrophic scars called kelocote . It works on scars several years old. I know it works best on raised scars, and reduces redness . I am not certain that it will work on indented scars. However at E15- E30 depending on the size tube you get, could be worth a go.

It is a simple gel so will not react in any way with your skin unless your hyper sensitive to silicon. Your pharmacist will be able to order it for you

Hi daisy! I feel your pain, have scars myself and pores are quite big, you could try a thick primer, two I would recommend would be loreal studio secrets primer in the pot- 19.99 or the clarins instant smooth primer, about 30 quid. Both are exactly the same, so go with the loreal!!! They're "resurfacing" primers, so it smooths out lines, wrinkles, pores, scars etc. It will definitely make a difference, you put some on( a little goes a long way as it's quite thick) and your foundation straight on top! You'll love it:-)
