    Hey, I have a JG g36 and was thinking of getting some mid cap mags for it but I also noticed a mag well m4 mag adapter.
    What I'm wondering, is which would be other players recommend or what are the pro's and con's of the G36 MC/ the Mag well.
    Thanks for any help :)

    G36 mids are hit and miss for feeding problems ,had a box of star and mag mids that had problems feeding in jg,tm,src and Ca G36s ,could be brand dependent though ,with the magwell conversion a 2min job you can use most armalite mags including Pmags which look class in the G36

    i had heard (though not used myself, that the magwell converter is a bit of a pig sometimes... and feeds somewhat short of reliably.

    I use the converter on a G36 and so far it hasn't given any trouble with my mag m4 type mids. Dead handy - never had to buy any G36 mags. I don't know what brand the converter is, I think there's a few different one about, some are probably better than others.

    I've got a battle axe mag well on the wifes jg g36c at the moment. Hi-caps work better then the g36 hi-caps, haven't tested my mids yet, plus the wifes g36c has a lot of upgrades for high rof and still the mags fed perfect. Gonna try it out on my KWA G36c soon.

    There are some rather nice G36 mids out there with fake bullets in them, mine are I think DBoys and work quite nicely in my Ares. My star magazines on the other hand are prone to jams. Mag quality is an issue common to just about any kind of magazine though.

    G36 Mid Pros:
    * Looks the part, especially if you get the right ones
    * Clipping them together is deadly
    * No requirement to find and fit a magwell compatible with your G36 (contrary to popular belief they are NOT all created equally)

    G36 Mid Cons:
    * Sourcing, as with anything non-M4 they're more difficult to get a hold of
    * They're quite bulky, this makes getting a loadout together less easy
    * They have knobbly bits on the side that tend to catch on pouches

    Magwell Pros:
    * Easy to get hold of M4 Mids and loadouts to match
    * Less bulky
    * More interchanability with other guns and (depending on who you play with) team mates

    Magwell Cons:
    * Sourcing
    * Fitting
    * Possible feed issues

    Not that this is a discussion of magazine sizes but there's nothing wrong with 50rds, I regularly go out with 350 or so rounds in my vest and make it last a half day. If you want to use mids you should really be trying to make your ammo count more, not trying to shoehorn more BBs in.

    Since there's no specific definition of mid/low I choose to define mid as "more than a real one". My 30rd ones, now those are low caps (since they're rubbish so I only 24 shots out of them).
