Isn't it great to be Irish. What are we going to beat the English at next? My money is on sailing. Let them keep inventing sports and we'll keep annihilating them at it!

To O'Brien, Ruby, O'Driscoll and all our other fellow Countrymen out there restoring some national pride; Thank You.

It's embarrassing seeing people cream themselves over beating England tbh.

Way to move on people.

Yeah, it would be so much better if we just rolled over and lost to them. That wouldn't be embarrassing at all.

BTW, move on from what exactly? The OP is talking about sporting events.

Say that to the Scottish, Welsh, Australians, Kiwis, French, South Africans and Argentinians.

Way to take it all so seriously...it's only sport and I don't think anyone takes it as seriously as you do.

If you want to see a country who genuinely despises the English and sees beating them in sport as something more, then go see a Rugby match between Wales and England sometime.

And Irish victories over England have nothing to do with that little matter of centuries of English occupation?

If Ireland beat Uzbekistan would it be as big a deal for the same people? Be honest.

what a pathetic post, but it is something we would have come to expect in fairness.

absolutely nothing wrong with delighting in beating (hammering) a country which prides itself as a superpower when it comes to all sports!

especially when i believe their media was describing their match with france as the grand slam decider!

    grow up

Please, the only reason this thread is here is because we beat the English a few times, if it were any country no one would give a shít.

Oh, and you grow up! Na na na na na!!

In fairness, apart the the Cricket win, the Irish already have a good record at Chelthnam, and we have already beaten them at Rugby serveral times before.
