    hello fellow galwegians!
im just wondering about my upcoming driving test.
i just applied after some difficulty with understanding their website.
what i want to know is:

    a) who is a good instructor to go for in galway city?
    b) is there just one tester in galway or are there many??
    c) what sort of questions, route etc i should expect to be brought on??

i will turn 23 in august, i did my first test when i was 17 in the loughrea test centre and feel i failed on the grounds of my age though i could be wrong! i am well able to drive, going on to my 3rd provisional, what are the chances of a pass/fail?? please recommend someone good!! thanks :)

p.s mods: i feel this section is more suitable than the "learning to drive" section however move it if you wish, thanks :)

The test centre is in Westside and the test route is in that locality. Definitely you should do a few lessons with a local driving instructor who knows the test route. Depending on my wife's result when she sits her test in four weeks I may be able to recommend an instructor.

I went with http://www.grahamschoolofmotoring.ie/index.htm and passed first time.
I found them excellent for telling you how to pass the test (which is different to real driving)
They had a little workbook type thing that had a great summary of everything you needed to know, along with all the most commonly asked questions.

Nicky Ellis is excellent, had 3 lessons with him and passed.
Definitely would nit have for it without the lessons and had 12 lessons in the past with another fella who was grand but found nicky gives ya a few pointers that actually got me through.
Reasonable price and he works out if the test centre.

you could do worse than give Noel Roche a call. He is well recommended, fully registered and is regularly in and around the city. Call him on 0857400579 or www.drive2pass.ie Good luck anyway.
