    Far from ideal. The frame geometry is one issue. The other would be brakes - normal STIs do not pull enough cable to work well with v-brakes. You can get travel adapters I think, but any conversion of that bike is likely to mean a series of fudges and compromises that would make the it an expensive and tricky way to make a dog of a bike.
