    Hey Guys

Any idea's, have a 08 Mondeo Zetec and today all of a sudden the key fob stopped working. Worked perfect to lock car, brought in car keys and when I went back out it wasn't working.

So I went to watch shop and they said there wasnt much life in battery left so I got new battery but it hasnt started to work, if there anything you need to do to reset the fob after you change battery?

Also the battery in the key, Is the plus supposed to be down or up? e.g. you can see the battery type etc? Thanks

Usually the writing is up (So you can see it). its a CR2032 battery right ?

Maybe its wet ... got a spare to try ?
Or maybe the car has a low battery, open it with the key instead.

Yeah it is the CR2032 battery,

Car battery is not low, I have opened and driven the car without an issue.

Can't see how it got wet as it was inside and worked before I went into house. Is there anything you know I may need to do?
