Basically i had one of my molars removed yesterday, about 26 hours ago now and so far i've cleaned it out lightly with luke warm salt water after every meal, the dentist said no running or anything for the rest of the day, but said he didn't really know anything about weights, i do a high intensity workout so the blood will be flowing quite a bit, will the blood clot in the socket go arse ways if i workout today? or would i even be able to do a less stressful workout? Am just quite bored at the moment and would like to work out to keep up my routine.

Wow. Not great advice above. Any exercise in which blood pressure is raised may cause the clot to become dislodged and bleeding to occur. It takes up to 48 hours for a clot to fully mature, and my advice to patients is to not do anything that by damage the integrity of the clot before that time. That includes rinsing, smoking alcohol and strenuous exercise. Eating on the same side as the socket should be avoided as should brushing the socket.

Exercise is a risk, not everyone will cause the clot to be dislodged if they exercise.
