PE Teaching degree

Hi everyone,

the Bachelor of Science in Education degree in UL is something i really want to do

I would love to become a secondry school pe teacher but i'll need 500 points in the leaving cert to get into the course

This is possibly too steep for me! Does anyone know any other way to get into the course if i dont get the 500 points?

Or else does anyone know any other courses which could allow me to become a pe teacher?

There's a course in IT Tralee that can be used to get into the course, you should have asked at the open day about it!

From what I hear though the post grad course is tough to get into.

If anyone has any info on the P.E course in UL I'd really appreciate it Like how many hours a week? How is it divided between P.E and your option subject? And if anyone is doing it with english, hows the course? And finally, do you have to have a super duper level of fitness?

I have a friend doing it with english in her first year and loves it! I can set you up to talk to her through FB if you like?

If you do English there is 5 hours of lectures and 3 of tutorials in 1st year.
