I think the state of it, he'd be lucky to get 5k for it.. jeez, what are some people thinking about eh?

I drove that car last year while it was still in stock with Spirit. A friend of mine had it for a day as a loaner car and gave me a test drive. It was sweet as a nut at the time and had I not just bought an S60 at the time I would have seriously considered it. It was completely standard and very well looked after. Shame to see it like this.... as far as I remember though the price at the time was lower than this guy is looking for it now!

I helped trade that car in, judging by the owner it was very well cared for and liked (I didn't get to view/testdrive, just do the sums). It's a real pity that someone would inflict that on the poor car.

Some people deserve a really good shake.

Don't listen these guys, i remember year ago this car was for sale 18000 euros and with poor standart look, now i can see sport bodykit installed on this car and beautiful dual exhaust (S60R concept car was with same look), so well done with this step.

That car looks a catastrophe. Sport bodykit, beautiful dual exhaust whatever:rolleyes:

Cosmetic embarrassment, the only conclusion I can think of is that nice cars can sometimes fall into silly hands and this is what happens.

    from Sandis in the ad:
This is very rare car(the fastest volvo ever made) with 300bhp standart.

    from JohnWa here:
this car was for sale 18000 euros and with poor standart look

something very standart about the spelling from two 'different' people...

Light brows look silly, painted bits look silly, I've seen this kind of stuff on small cheap cars, but usually people hold back on nice cars.

It's obviously fixable, but would put me off the car.

Hi lads! I saw this post today and was thinking, how jealous can be people here!!! I am car owner and i bought this car 8 months ago 17500euros. This amazing Volvo was used like horse by previous owner, very bad kept. i dont know what he did with body of car before, because intercooler was very bad destroyed no paint on it (damaged), headlight wiper motor did not work, Ignition coils foulty, all around scrached, all alloys scrached like he used car 20% on the road and 80% on the sidewalk! Leather interior looked like 20 years old, i think he never used leather interior cleaner and protector, and same with exterior-never used polishing pasta, just drive. I dont know why people think this car is destroyed, because i put original volvo s60R bodykit on it( purchased form volvo dealer) , that means all cars with bodykits are destroyed ? I agree with paint on it, i was thinking will bee good look, but could be beter with same black , it is not big job to re spray parts i will do it anyway because i do not like myself! all around the world volvo s60r from factory camind with exactly same body kit. Just simple type in to google serch volvo s60R and take images and you will see how many destroyed cars with factory bodykit . Some laught! This car is much better look now how before, all faulty parts and body fixed, just ned to respray silver parts.

Answer to LIGHTNING: i bought this car because i was looking for this car long time and could not get because they are very rare here in ireland, it is not problem to fix any trouble on the cars, i needed just the car. And it is official body kit from factory, just a apint job :( but how i said, i will do respray next week and will post new pictures with better look, i hope!

I actually don't think the car is too bad.

I obviously can't speak of its conditio as I don't know it, but the only thing I see wrong with the car is the extra bita arent painted the same colour.

If everything was the same colour, and car was cleaned up properly, I think it would be a nice little car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 539 ✭✭✭but43r

The state of that car. Unreal. Why would you want to do that to the car :confused::confused: Saying that the car was trashed by previous owner doesn't somehow make it better.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11 SandisB

Thanks ottostreet, will see how the car be next week with same colour on bits

I love this car, i have 2 volvos S60, and how i said i always wanted S60r since 2003, but could not get it, after respray bits, will be better.

Why are you painting a car you're selling?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭whyulittle

And why are you selling it if you wanted it since 2003!?

In fairness, I think the pictures may just be terrible. Those parts look to be from Heico, which are very expensive, but that's not to say they always look good.

I saw this car in the flesh last year and while it was not immaculate, it certainly wasn't in shoddy condition.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,056 ✭✭✭Tragedy

There was a low mileage greeny/blue S60R that looked immaculate for sale from beshoffs last month. Think it was under 10k.

There's also this although it looks quite tired and I know the S60r can be an expensive beast to maintain.

I was sure it was an s60r, I must be going mad. Also thought it was lower priced than that, but in fairness when I saw the ad I had to e-mail them to point out a few facts and figures(including the HP) so mebbe they bumped the price.
    Maybe not :)

Sandis, how did you manage to register your car as under 2,500cc?

Where did you get the bits for it? B&Q? If I was you i'd take the "add-ons" off if you want to sell it.

Are you going to paint it yourself or are you going to get it painted?
Getting it painted could cost hundreds of Euro, or even €1k+, depending on who you go to.

That's a lot to spend on a car that you're selling for €15k...
