With the terrible winter behind us I am now getting around to addressing the problem with the external plaster that was damaged while building an extension. It is bad in parts, near the ground and on my neighbours side.
I am trying to figure out if I need to replace the outer coat for the patches affected or replace the whole lot. Any advice would be appreciated.

If it's not to big of an extension it would be best to replace all. But your plasterer / builder should be your first call. It's difficult to give advice here without more details. Best of luck.

thanks for the reply PaleRider. Bringing it back to the scratch coat or back to the block? The main wall is about 4 metres wide. the plasterers are saying two days but I think it should not be that long if I take off the outer coat myself.
