    I'm don't think I've ever seen this film discussed on here, so for anyone who hasn't seen it I just wanted to recommend it. It's a documentary consisting entirely of actual footage of the moon-landings, spacewalks, etc taken during the Apollo missions. No talking heads, just the voice-over thoughts (often philosophical) of the astronauts themselves.

    Everyone has seen certain classic shots of the moon-landings, but I think you might be surprised, even wowed, by some of the footage in this documentary. It also has a fantastic soundtrack by Brian Eno (which he released as an album called Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks).

    There's some really extraordinary footage in it, such as of the astronauts goofing around on the moon. Here's a clip:

    I saw it when I was browsing the Criterion Collection's catalogue. I certainly want to watch it when I can get the opportunity.

    Yeah, it's the Criterion that I have. I think it's out on Blu-ray now as well.
