Ok so after trying for over 6 mths to move home subject to finding a job (i live west ireland at moment) i have got an interview in 2 weeks time! the job is in quality department of pharma company, its 9 mth maternity role. I have 7 years exp in this role. so im hoping obviously that I have a chance. My question is what would other people do? i currently have a full time permanent role in the west , its a great job and good company. but the hubby and i desperately want to move home. should i risk it as its only a 9 mth maternity role? and what tips do people have in order to impress at the interview? also will the fact i am employed go against me? i have heard some employers get tax breaks if they employ people from the dole.

That's an understatement. There's no reason why you wouldn't get the job.

It depends mainly on what job prospects are like where you are going, and also whether you have enough funds to cope with a period of unemployment

Personally, i'd take the contract and hope for the best.
and what tips do people have in order to impress at the interview?

    Google job interview tips.

have sound bites ready. Be able to answer questions like "so tell me about your typical day in your last job" or "tell me about this process in your last job", "tell me about your weaknesses" or "what are your top 5 strengths" without emming and ahhing.
Know your c.v insideout and be able to talk about it without looking down (maintain eye contact)
    over-dress for the interview.
and be really confident, making sure you address how you fit the role and what you can do for the company.
also will the fact i am employed go against me? . i have heard some employers get tax breaks if they employ people from the dole.

The government's meddling in the economy knows no bounds.
Fortunately most employers prefer someone already in employment because it shows they are reliable
