Just read on their twitter that if Sam Winner wins the Triumph Hurdle at 1.30 then a Cork customer will scoop €1m. Nice!

They're streaming the traders live from 1pm. http://cheltenham.boylesports.com/dashboard/

    Here's the tweet
BOYLESPORTS MILLIONAIRE: One lucky #Boylesports customer in Cork stands to win €1m today if #SamWinner wins the #TriumphHurdle @ 1.30.

BOYLESPORTS MILLIONAIRE: Watch our traders sweat out the 1.30 #TriumphHurdle on our live stream http://goo.gl/LXSS5 #SamWinner=millionaire

Saw the Ad in today's RP, big articles in 2 other papers as well.
    If my aunt had......
If I was the guy who had the bet, I'd be going apes***.
Bad enough that the horse let's him down but the bookie is now taking the ****.
If the horse had won it would have cost us over €1m?
If loads of horses had won it would have cost them bundles as well.
Normally a bookie will advertise when it costs them money not when it nearly costs them money.
Most only advertise after the punter has won a bucketload.
I think it's a terrible decision by Boyles to advertise this and show the slip.
How many other bookies would advertise the fact they could have lost a fortune on a horse result or football match?
None that I can think of.
I hope the guy walks away after that and goes to another shop,
if it was me I would.

I heard Ladbrokes did their brains more than the others.
They took a lot of bets in the UK on Long Run and Big Bucks.
Looks like most bookies lost money over Cheltenham.
Mind you won't be too long before they get it all back .

    What price was Sam Winner?

Punter could have layed it on the exchanges and locked in profit.

Was 6's finished up at 4/1 Fav.
Reckon it would have been a big Loser for most bookies.
Bit hard to lay off unless he had buckets in his account.
Think the max you can lodge is either 5k or 10k with Betfair a day.
So at 5/1 he could only have got back a couple of grand at most.
