Cheers, I'll be watching so. Anyone but United for me.

Nah anyone but Barca for me.
Schalke would be the ideal draw and then the winners of Shakhtar/Chelsea in the semis.
Barca in a one off at Wembley in the final.

    Not long to go now.

    COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to see Barca/Porto in the group stages a couple of years ago. Right on the touchline. I'd love to go back. Barca all day long for me, I'd love a crack at Real too.

I love it. Barca in Semi is a pity as I'd love them in the final but I honestly think we can take Real at home. We have them at the lane in the second leg too.

Go into that 1-0 or 2-1 down or better I think we have ever chance.

We should treat is a one off occasion that we can't possibly win, if anything this may focus the minds on finisnshing 4th now so we can get back here next year.

Bollox to that. We should treat it as an opportunity to show that we can beat any team on our day, Barcelona included. Come on Spurs!

Nice one, im in Birmingham forca stag on the 15th. Think I'll be flying out two days early :)

I think this is a better draw then Shakhtar or Schalke TBH. Definately with the latter we'd almost expect to win while now we have nothing to loose. If we bow out we can all be proud as I think that if they beat us they'll actually Win the the whole thing.

We play our best when we aren't the fav's.

1135: The dates for the first-leg ties have been confirmed.
Tues, 5 April: Real Madrid v Tottenham
Weds, 6 April: Chelsea v Man Utd
Stick those dates in your diaries, stock the fridge, lock the doors, and settle in for two nights of monster football. Jubbly.

Hatch , does that mean more than likely home game will be on Wed April 13th ?

As a Spurs fan, I am delighted to get Real. I have been following Tottenham with 20 odd years and looked on in envy at other teams playing big games in the 'business month' of the season while we were drifting in midtable.

This year, in the 'business month' we are playing Real and possibly Barca, and fighting with another 2/3 teams for 3/4th spot in the PL. Great times. :D

If we go through, the Semi-Final dates are as follows: 1st leg (h) - Weds Apr 27; 2nd leg (a) - Tues May 3.

CL dates: QF 1st leg (Real Madrid away) - Tues April 5; QF 2nd leg (Real Madrid home), Weds April 13...

Wow. I'm with tomo on this one. While I don't hold out much hope for us winning, even with the 2nd leg at home, this is exactly the kind of match I'd have loved us to play a few years ago when we were your standard mid-table team. Of course we have a chance, but we'll really need to avoid the nerves of the 2nd leg against AC and actually believe we can do it.

I can honestly say I haven't been as excited about a couple of football matches in years.

TBQH I would have preferred us to pull Schalke or Shaktar and have been favourites to progress. A Semi-Final would be, and still might be, a supreme achievement.

Real have found their form, are closing the gap to Barca in La Liga slowly but surely, and Benzema and Ronaldo have been bang on form. We will do well to keep the tie alive until the return leg, this is a clear step up in class from all we have done in Europe so far this season.

    That said, COYS!

So excited. I'm making the trip to Madrid, fingers crossed I can manage to sort a ticket!

Support United myself but if we can't win it then i'd love to see Spurs go all the way.
Love the way they've been playin this season and can see ya gettin past Madrid cos they won't fancy White Hart Lane in the second leg

very tough draw for uss but this is exactly what champions league football entails. playing the best teams in europe. they dont come much bigger than real madrid and barcelona if we get past that hurdle.

    enjoy the occasion boys,

    COME ON YOU SPURS
