Clicking noise on a video

Just recorded a short interview on my Sanyo Xacti. For some reason there is a clicking every second or so. Just a dull sound, but it's annoying and it definitely wasn't in the room. It sounds like someone is playing the spoons sort of.

I know I probably can't fix the interview, but does anyone know what is causing this so I may fix it for the future?

    Cheers.

Hi.. Not 100% sure about your audio recording specifically but in the past if I downloaded audio files to use in an edit project, I encountered clicking noises as well that didn't exist in the original. After a while i figured out that it was a frequency miss-match. So my suggestion is that you compare the frequency of the recorded audio with that of the edit project settings (ie. 44Khz V 48khz). Its only a maybe....
