I was doing a sunset shoot and have these awful spots of glare from the sun all over the shot. I really should invest in a lens hood

Is there a quick way to get rid of these in photoshop besides using the healing brush and clone tool?

    Thanks

Here's my example. It was much worse until I went over with the healing brush tool. I really can't do any more

Nothing really to be done except very careful healing/cloning by the looks of it.

For future reference, a hood would not have helped. A hood helps stop flare from off camera sources, but the sun is in your shot anyway. Either your lens was dirty/wet, or it's a fairly cheap lens. More expensive glass will have less flare.

Zillah is right there's no quick way to clean that up and you might end up making it look worse.

Perhaps switch your clone/healing brush to a different mode like colour luminosity to retain the luminosity pattern but correct the colour.

Here is a poor enough 5 minute job:

Most of the outer spots can be cleaned up easily with a clone brush in luminosity mode and ~75% opacity. Around the sun is tricky and would take considerably longer with probably very poor results.
