Running a fast(er) mile in 2011 will form part of the Big 8 challenge. Even if the Big 8 thing doesn't take root, getting several mile races together will be very useful to peoples training and racing. If you think you can organize a mile time trial at some stage this summer, (basically turn up with a stopwatch at a track and take the results after 4 laps and 9 meters), please PM me with your interest, and we'll try and get a good few mile time trials going (with a table, league, most improved, whatever:D) Races or trails will be open to anyone who wants to turn up.

Feel free to use the next fit4life in Charlesland - Weds 20th of April, only €5 all of which goes back into the sport. There'll be several races based on standards.

Hi beepbeep, not too sure where that track is, how long would it take you toget tere from Rathfarnham, I'd definitely be there for a few anyway. I assume all standards welcome :D

^ You don't know where Morton stadium is really? 16A all the way there Woddle. Its just north of Santry village on the airport road.

These races are well worth doing, the C & D races are usually soft enough if you're looking for a win. Theres a suitable race for everyone.

Meets are rotated between Morton (Santry) and Irishtown (Ringsend) and there will typically 3-4 grades per race. You should get to both of them within 30mins.

Takes me 20mins from Cherrywood to Charlesland and I'd say Cherrywood is 10mins to Rathfarnham.
Stay on the M50 - M11 - N11 and the turn is about 5mins after Kilmac.
