Is it possible to get an urinal for a private home? Does anyone sell these in Ireland? Are there laws against this?

    Eh... no :P

You can buy urinals, I have heard of people doing just that for their en-suite as it takes up less space and the husbands/male partners are forced to use that instead of the toilet for taking a leak.

That said, I have never seen one in a diy shop so best to ask a builder or plumber to source one.

There is no reason why you cannot get a urinal for a house the problem is you are limited where you can buy them. Additionally if it were me i would buy a very good arty one by Duravit or a simular brand. The duravit agents in ireland are PHD in Kildare/Naas area as far as i know.

Outside that you will buy a cheap nasty urinal and spreaders in most plumbers providers. The min allowence i would go is concealed urinal so the pipework and traps are concealed.

I am guessing you are putting this in an outside shed for the lads when drinking. I would put the cistern on the roof if so that way the dripping wont have them peeing more regular

Word of warning- I've seen them put into sheds without a cistern. It WILL become blocked if you do this. Urine has a great ability to solidify in pipes and its really not much fun trying to unblock it. Make sure, as Joey has mentioned, you put in a cistern as well!

Final warning...If messages are not practical advice concerning the urinal. You will be banned for a month.
