It's worth a shot. I'd love to know what the likes of those Chinese carbon frames are like.

I will if I can make up my mind to do it. Saw another frame for similar price with carbon fork but seems to be heavier, albeit by 200grams

The frame for sale in the ebay link is not carbon. (Dunno if you were referring to that in this instance)
Material: Frame &Fork Aluminium 6061T6. And it's quite a heavy frame for a full aluminium frame, then again, it's dirt cheap.

I bought a full carbon MTB frame directly from a seller on Alibaba, and it's 100%.
Another guy in the club has a carbon road frame from China also - again no complaints AFAIK.
The weightweenies forum has plenty of examples.

    PS - here's ebay.co.uk link
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Road-bike-frame-and-fork-700CX47-50-53-56-59-CM-Black-/280564440279?pt=AU_Sport_Cycling_Frames&hash=item4152f19cd7#ht_1500wt_992
    Pros: Cheap
    Cons: No comeback.
Then again, if my MTB frame should fail, I could get another frame again. And with it being a fraction of the price of a branded frame of the same weight/ design, I still save money!

Cheap. Heavy. (unless its actually for a 56 inch frame, which might be a bit big unless you're 12 foot tall.....)

Just joking, but if you want a good value, light frame, why not try a Planet X. Full warranty, around 1.1kg, and about £400. You can't go wrong.
