    In previous years the swim has been 50/50 upstream/downstream and is expected to be the same this year. The majority of swim times last year fell into the 20 - 35 mins range i.e. a fairly typical spread for 1500m.

    Do anyone know is the super sprint swim all downstream?

    No, both swims are half up half down. Current was non existant last year. Two years ago I think it was pretty strong.

    <mod>
    see charter
    If you want to look for (or sell) race numbers because you forgot to enter on time then check that the race allows transfers (most don't). Forward the link or email which states transfers are allowed to the mods before posting your request. We'll close any threads that don't do this.

    A little birdy told me that there are some issues surrounding Piranha's use of UCD facilities for the swim section
    Anyone know how this may affect the race?
    Is there a plan B?

    Hi Dusty

    No issue with using the UCD facilities. Piranha have opted/decided to use the Garda Boat club for registration, transition, BBQ, prize giving and some parking.

    This is being done to improve to layout of the event and create a better atmosphere. I also allows spectators to use the facilities of this boat club and centralises athletes and marshalls leading to better communication and improving the overall 'race' experience.

    BBQ you say? Sounds good. One of the best run races I have seen in Ireland.
    Looking forward to it.
