Noticed over the past few days that when listing to my earphones that sometime the sound will partially go.

I was puzzled by this until today when I had my laptop sitting on my lap and the sound went all funny again but with the slightest movement by me i realized that its something to do with either the headphones or the headphone jack.

I tried the headphones in my Itouch to see if they were the fault and even moved the wire around too see if anything would happen but nope, everything worked fine.

Tried a different pair in my laptop to see if anything happened and everything was fine again.

So I'm wondering is there a chance that I need to have the headphone jack replaced ?

The Realtec pop up that shows up every time you plug earphones in ?
If so then I wouldn't know as since I had my audio drivers updated it doesn't pop up anymore.

That looks like the problem, every time you plug in your earphones you can adjust the settings i'm not sure how you proceed from here perhaps more boards members can help

Tbh I doubt it. I had the drivers updated last summer so its being awhile and I also think its more an external issue then and internal.
