Hi there, I was wondering if any masters students (or anyone in fact) would know any information on the references needed for masters programmes applications? Applying from outside TCD, I'm unsure whether my reference simply has to be a professor's contact details, who is familiar with my work, or an actual written…

I will email the postgraduate department to enquire, but I just thought someone might be able to help me out here faster since obviously it'll be closed tomorrow.

When I applied last year they were looking for letters of recommendation from two lecturers. It's really helpful to pick lecturers that know you and that will give you a good reference as I think that having good references was what got me my place. Bon chance..
