    Hi guys

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I'm looking for info on the alcohol licensing laws for tomorrow, i.e. what time do the pubs close, are there any late bars open as its a public holiday.

Cheers and I hope you all have a great day.

Found this on Vintners Federation of Ireland:

Trading Hours for On Trade on Wednesday 16th March are 10.30am - 12.30am (Eve of Public Holiday). Trading Hours for On Trade on Thursday, 17th March, St Patrick's Day are 12.30pm - 12.30am. These hours are in accordance with the relevant Liquor Licensing Laws. Normal Trading Hours resume on Friday 18th March

Thursday is a public holiday so pubs can open until 12.30 a.m. on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. St Patricks day is also late opening until 12.30 a.m.

So basically its 12.30 closing from Wednesday to Saturday.

Thanks for the clarification, but are the off-licence hours actually the same?
I do remember the talk of a 4pm opening time, etc.

For example, can I pop to a SuperValu or Tesco tomorrow and purchase a box of beer and some wine?

Does anybody have a pub closing time calculator to work out our archaic rules here ? It seems in Ireland we make everything too complicted - we should employ a SKY + designer to simplify our roads, banks, civil service etc !
