Timber Post and Rail Price

    I am looking to get a timber post and rail fence put up around my house. I have got one quote so far and I am awaiting another one. The one I have got so far is 2600. This includes supply and fit of 100 metres of 4 rail fence and 2 six foot gates. Is this a good price??

    Tbh i dont know. However my neighbour does this for a living and he is always giving out because he is flat out busy but yet he knows if he overprices he risks not getting the work.

    In the Galway area at least, if you go to your local Farmer's Co-Op, and enquire, they usually have a list of people who do that locally - I got got mine done through through the Farm Relief Service - some farmers with the plant supplement their income by doing fencing.

    12 euro per metre for post & rail (3 rail) fence in Louth ( based on 78 metres)

    2600 doesn't sound too mad for what you're getting tbh.
