    Hey folks

I want to get a 3DS some time and I want to know do DS games play well on it?

I like to get some of the pokemon games(bloody additive stuff) so I want to know do they play good on it ?

    Pretty sure they do.

Because of the higher resolution screen on the 3DS, they'll be upscaled...which means the picture should be slightly blurred...but personally i don't think this will make that much of a difference especially if you don't have much experience playing them on a DS for the past years :pac:

There's also the option to play them unscaled, but this makes the picture much smaller with a black border around it..

Everything else is perfect except for the lack of GBA slot so think 2/3 games won't work at all..(they used an accessory plugged into this slot) but these are pretty obscure titles if i remember correctly and you won't miss much.

Slow loading times too apparently, but not a big deal.

There is an option to avoid having DS games scaled up to new resolution. Hold Start+Select when loading the DS game, it will start in original DS resolution.
