Wanted - 60mm Stem for Road Bike

    Any one got a short stem for a Road Bike. The reach on my son's bike is a little to long and would like to see what a 60mm (rather than 100mm) stem might do. Tx

    What diameter do you need for handlebar 25.4 or 31.6??

    I've got a 60mm stem for sale a few threads down. €20

    it fits a 31.6 handlebar (ie for a road or mtb bike not thin racer handlebars.)

    ill double check what i have tonight oldlegs its a 25.4 ill just double check its 60mm and let you know.

    brand new, wrong size didnt change it in time.

    Its a 70cm stem, 6degree rise 28.6/26.0 diameter for the bars

    That just might fit with the 26mm fitting.

    Where are you based ? Any thoughts on price ?

    Im based in Galway but heading for Kilkenny tonight and back from there tomorrow.
    If your along the route from Galway to Kilbeggan and south from there through Tullamore to Kilkenny let me know.

    I had tried the stem on a bike before but then realised the bars were in need of change, thats why its no good to me. €48 i paid for it.

    €30 if thats ok with you.

    Wont be Kilkenny/Galway direction soon. Probably need to check the size - so taking a risk on posting.

    Waiting to see if shorter bars will do the trick (do to arrive today/monday).

    Will get back to you if need to try to 60 mm stem.
