Rats - Shankill Dart Station

Myself and the missus have noticed in recent weeks that the path from Shankill station down towards Shanganagh Cliffs bridge has been infested with rats. They will be out on the pavement and the grass verge in large numbers, only scurrying in under the fence when we get really close to them.

I was thinking about ringing the council to make them aware of the problem, but I'm not sure which department to get in touch with. Would go under environmental health, parks control?

    Any advice appreciated.

I was shocked the last time i walked down there. Dumping rubbish over the railings there also doesnt help.

A search of the dlrcoco website suggests:

Rats can carry disease. Weil's Disease (Leptospirosis) is enough of a problem that the CoCo have advertised the risk in the past. Not something you want..
