Any one else cheesed off with the walll to wall coverage of Chelts on rte? I for one have a pain in me swiss listening to the latest runners and riders and who he beat and what the ground wwas like and that cheltenham is "the horses olympics" (wheres the swimming then or the pole vault). They're all at it now on RTE. Gambling is fun and making us a nation of gamblers is a great bit of gas.

Change the station. Best not to Channel 4 though.

I'm very jealous. I'd love not to be in work and be at home watching it. Best week of the year tbh.

One of the greatest sporting events on earth. The atmosphere, the riders, the magnificent horses, and probably the most exciting race on earth, the Gold Cup! I am in work all week, and I am raging that I am missing it. I am not an avid race fan, but something ever so exciting and energetic about Cheltenham.

I think what he's moaning about is the fact that you can't avoid it, it's everywhere. I know he only mentioned RTE but every ****er in the place is talking about it, it's amazing how many horsey experts emerge when Cheltenham is on.

Move to England then. No outside of Ireland gives a flying monkey's chuff about it.

    Horse Olympics my arse.

Okay so the best way to avoid it, create a thread on it! If it really pissed a man off so much he could go and do something constructive instead. Like take a drive in his honda civic..

No not really because you are not obliged to watch it. If RTE did not show it there would be a lot more people complaining.

well done to Ruby Walsh, proud day to be Irish. I only wish I was there.
