Dress theft quiz for Peaches

Peaches Geldof could be questioned by police over an alleged dress theft from a clothes shop.

Officers are investigating an allegation that the 22-year-old TV presenter stole a garment from the Three Amigos store in Camden Town, London.

Owners of the shop are believed to have reported the incident after trying to contact her when they were unable to find the dress.

The daughter of Boomtown Rats star Bob Geldof and his late wife Paula Yates has been linked to -- and exonerated over -- a string of shoplifting allegations in the past.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We can confirm police have received an allegation of theft. "It is alleged that on March 4 a woman stole a dress from a shop in Camden Road. Officers are investigating the alleged theft."

Ms Geldof was accused of leaving the Victim store near Carnaby Street with a £500 dress in 2008 but later returned it to the shop, saying there had been a misunderstanding.

She was also wrongly accused of stealing an item of clothing from east London shop Luna & Curious. Geldof "strenuously" denies the latest allegation.

Now while it's still only an allegation , she has being has been linked to -- and exonerated over -- a string of shoplifting allegations in the past. So one has to ask , is young Peaches a kleptomaniac or wah ? It's not like she's short of a ' bob ' or two

Maybe it is a deluded notion of celebrity. My missus said that she's heard of a well-known female z-list Irish celeb trying to walk out without paying for a haircut before.

Psst : If she ever makes it onto the F celeb list at the London film premieres somebody should remind her that just like in LA , the expensive goody bags are for free.
