earthquake and airsoft

im sure we've all seen on the news the terrible situation happing over there but i was wondering has anyone heard if any airsoft factories/compaines that got hit, while googling all i can find is when the tm factory got messed up from a quake in 2005, i know possable shortages or price hikes arnt the bigger picture here, i just wanted to know has anyone any info

Tactless question while we're being blunt. Answer... probably little to no effect, as taiwan and hongkong are bigger manufacturing centres for airsoft. Chances are your precious toys will be fine.

i do beleave the value of the yen isnt going down according to some news reports they expect the value of the yen to increase , given that some mauri's mainly older models arent Rohs compliant making importation into the EU difficult ,and inflated currency (pre disasters) already seen mauri prices increase in some cases 4O+e pistols and some aegs even more in some cases in a short period ,now add the current situations we will probably see some shortages later on depending on wholesale stocks and cost

thank you very much sir,this is more the answer i was after.;) NOTE: i know the whole earthqake situation is a delicate thing to talk about and i aplogise if i upset or anger anyone talking about it on a airsoft forum, i mean no disrespect to the dead or there families

ive stated in post above how i know this is a delicate thing to bring up and that i mean so disrespect. and if u read my post u can see im fully aware of the tragicness of japans situiation. you seem to be acting like i said "oh ive ordred magpul stuff and im worried it wont get to me cause of all this" and i have said nothing of the sort, i know anything i have to deal with non-airsoft realted in my "boring work and safe,comfortable life" is nothing compared to what the people over there are going thru and the hurdles they will have to overcome.

Your coming off very preachy tbh. The events in the far east effect the sport so why not ask the question of how exactly will it impact the players in other regions? Its not like the OP is saying "screw the japs, wheres myAEG!" He's asking a reasonable quesion based on a recent major event and has clearly stated he is attempting to be sensetive and not downplay the human loss.

Get a grip for a sec and take it down a few notches. If you dont like the idea of talking about Japan or the side effects of the recent events then dont post. If you feel the OP is being abusive or started an offensive thread then report and leave it up to the mods to decide rather than lambasting another member.

A Genuine question/concern has been asked as this is a sensitive matter please leave all sarky comments at the door there not needed.

Yes Japan has almost been wiped off the map in the effected area's and we would like people to respect what has happened in Japan.

I would ask people to be respectful in their postings on the subject. I for one have different believes in what Japan do as a Nation and some of you know this but currently I do not bring believes or their culture into it. So please discuss it respectfully and all sarky comments left out.

The phrasing of this topic, and the OP's aproach, was quite offensive and seemingly unconcerned with the human cost. Yes, Ive been snappy, because To me, people matter more. isnt is norm of chairty days that all funds would go to the chairty than just a certaint % ,could be way off ,well aware sites arnt free to insure/rent or upkeep and know time isnt free either, but considering the cause
