Dublin based guitarist looking for serious commited band mates

Guitarist (23), playing ten years, pro gear, own transport, dublin based (tallaght) with pro attitude.

I am looking for people with the right attitude to form a hardworking band. No messers or "rockstars" thank you. I am looking for people who are above all else reliable, pay their own way, can take constructive criticism, have an equal input and can have fun while doing it. I am looking for people who can give 100% to this rather than it being another "side project" to supplement boredom. If you relate to the above then get in touch.

Full compliment needed, drums, bass, vocals, guitar, possibly keys. All members up to a reasonable standard. These things generally take time and I have college commitments (final year) until the end of may so I am looking to start rehersals in early june.

I have no gigging experience and so I dont mind starting with covers and moving to originals. Writing original material as a band is the end goal. No experience necessary (but if you have loads thats ok too:D). Age or sex is not an issue as long as you can play and hold your own. Hopefully we can learn from one another etc.

Influences for those interested range from pearljam, the beatles, tool, incubus, soundgarden, jeff buckley, nirvana, the pixies, alice in chains, a perfect circle, interpol, katie melua, radiohead, coldplay, porcupine tree, faith no more, the rolling stones, aerosmith, ACDC, stevie wonder, marvin gaye, BBking, the frames, thin lizzy, and on and on and on....

I listen to all sorts of music but these are all i could think of. I dont think influences are a fair assessment of how somebody plays but they are there for those interested in looking. I do not want to sound like these or try to sound like them. Lets just see how our own individual playing styles mix and take it from there.

you have a good memory mr cornetto! I did. Nothing some hot hide glue, a few clamps and some patience couldn't sort out. Plays as new now and is as strong as ever!Cost me a grand total of 20quid to fix.:P

I am temporarily haulting the search for additional bandmates due to the Overwhelming amount of positive interest. Once I have had a chance to audition those who are interested and finalised positions etc, I may reopen the search if additonal people are required.

Hi there,

My band need a second guitarist/vocalist asap. Guitarist must play electric and acoustic guitars, rhythm and lead all to a good standard, and be a competent singer too for harmony backing vocals, or even shared lead vocals.

Influences include vintage bands like the Eagles,The Beatles, Oasis, Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Queen, The Stones, Hendrix etc.

Ideally we want someone with a smooth bluesy guitar focus as opposed to a shredder.

We're also looking for a piano/keyboard/organ player to complete the line-up, so if anyone is interested in that let me know.

Also, we're based in south-west Dublin and are looking for someone aged 18-25.

Hey i play lead guitar and sing in a classic rock cover band we have a bassist and drummer too.We play Thin Lizzy,Cream,CCR,Deep Purple etc...We're all in our early 20's based in Dublin City Centre we have all our own equipment and a free rehearsal room we're looking to get giggin like mad over the summer so if you'd be interested let me know.Btw we are all 100 per cent committed to this and we have all played together in bands before so no need to worry bout commitment issues with us.anyways let me know.
