Hi I would like a price to install Saorview and FTA in a new house in MAyo. There are cables to each room required. I would like to get prices that include the following

    1) SaorView System
    2) FTA Stsyem
I would like both to come into the one reciever

I would then like a price for each additional room up to 6 more rooms.

    Thanks

Any single receiver solutions are only partially compatible.

    No true Freesat EPG
    No true Freesat series link
    No Freesat auto tuning
    No Interactive BBC/ITV
    No BBC Multiscreen interactive.

    Not full Saorview Compatible Either.
    See www.saortv.info for explination.

You can either have full compatibility via Aerial + dish and two boxes,
Or poor compatibility an Aerial + dish on one box
Or get Freesat HD now and see if Saorsat can be added in June.

For more than 4 rooms, or more than 2 with a Recorder you need a Distribution box called a Multiswitch. It will distribute Satellite and Terrestrial to up to 16 rooms easily. Expandable to 2000. Or 8 Rooms with dual outlet for PVRs.

thanks would this one Edision Argus Mini 2in1 IP or this one
Mvision HD300 Combo NET be a good reciever for both?

    Those are generic.

    Satellite:
    No true Freesat EPG
    No true Freesat series link
    No Freesat auto tuning
    No Interactive BBC/ITV
    No BBC Multiscreen interactive.

    Terrestrial
No Interactive, no series link, no MHEG5 applications.

They are for enthusists/ Early adopters not worried about full compatibility.

Is it still the case that saorview and FTA are separate boxes?

What a common installation cost including materials....based in kerry

    €300?

There is a Triax TSC114 Saorview approved combi with a Walker model coming soon.

    http://www.saorview.ie/product/triax/

Couldn't tell you what an installation costs as I do my own.

Bear in mind that commercial interaction without permission is not allowed on this forum so no supplier can quote prices to you directly here without breaking the forum charter.

Desktop PC Boards discount code on https://www.satellite.ie/ is boards.ie

It would be very hard to provide 6 rooms from one reciever for the setup you want. You would really need 7 recievers (1 in each room), otherwise you would have to watch the same channel in each room.

the saorview supply could be split and directed to each room then wit saorview tellys could watch from the 6 saorview channels

Why not use one of the bodies approved by saorview as there members should know what to suggest, ie : ISAA, CAI, etc
