Jobs advertised on FAS

What is the story with all of these WP(Work Placement) jobs advertised on the FAS website?

I am looking for something in the ADMIN/SECRETARIAL area but I think I am worth at least, the minimum wage? I am only looking for 2 to 3 days a week just to keep me off the streets (mind you, doing Tidy Towns)! just for a while!

What is it with a lot of these employers?:(

I apply for jobs through Fas.ie but I have a feeling that I am wasting my time as I think you may need to be registered with them to be considered. I am a full time student so I can't register with them now but have been in the past when unemployed on the dole. Anyone actually know what he story with Fas is? And can anybody apply for their online vacancies?

Ps, sorry OP am not trying to highjack thread, just thought this was relevant to your own question.

    Thanks
