Pool to train for my first tri??

hi all

im doing alot of running lately and id cycle alot!! on top of that....So i got the idea of signing up for a triatalon.. now i can run n cycle where n whenever but i dont have my own pool ... i was wondering if anyone knew were a cheap place to swin would be prefairably around the city center on dublin west.. thanks

Corporation have a number of leisure centres around the city. PAYG / monthly membership available. Only used the gym in Markievicz (OK) and Ballymun (Good) so can't comment on pools.

thanks everyone for the feedback wasnt expectin so many posts so quick and im gonna go for the Leisure Centres in Ballyfermot its near enough to my home so il be more inclined ta go

If you are living near it, you should definitely try out the NAC pool. 50 metre pool-will be great for your tri training.
Only problem is its a bit pricey at peak times- 14 euro:eek: but on Sat and Sun mornings its 8 euro.

Markaveitz is great for early morning lane swimming (7 - 8 am). There's quite a few triathletes, ow swimmers, competitive and ex-competitive swimmers.
