KIS blocking gmail access through chrome

    Today I decided I was sick of IE8 and wanted to switch to Chrome 10 so I did. When I did I couldnt access gmail or chrome extensions. I disabled Kaspersky interent security and its working now but when I turn KIS back on chrome stops allowing access to gmail. IE8 allows me to access it with KIS on or off. Any Ideas?

    KIS is blocking it......

    I for one would quickly unistall "KIS" and laugh at the lightning fast web browsing I can now do.

    Hi , I use kaspersky so I will try and help you as best I can

    Kaspersky will sometimes block google chrome but this is normal with kaspersky in my experience.

    Usually you will get a pop up asking you to "allow" chrome or not, just click "allow"

    If however you are not getting a pop up maybe you have not got the most up to date version of kaspersky? Latest version is build 11.0.2.556, to check if you have this version follow these steps...

    1. open kaspersky UI
    2. On the bottom (left of centre) click "support"

    At the very top you will see Application version, make sure that your version is the most current version 11.0.2.556

    If you have the current version and still having this problem then you should go to the kaspersky forums and ask for help, there are a couple of guys on there that are pretty good at fixing these sorts of things, I have been there myself with problems and have gotten them resolved.

    I use kaspersky Internet security and chrome's latest stable version 10.0.648.134 without any problems.

    Also if you have other AV programmes on your system you should remove them, If you use spybot then you should disable teatimer function as it will conflict
