We are getting married by registrar is the westcourt hotel but I have no plans to where we will celebrate. We can't afford much but would still like it to be nice. There will only be about 35 guests including some toddlers. It'll pretty much be family and a couple of close friends.
Can anyone tell me if the westcourt is nice as a wedding place?or the D hotel?
any other suggestions are more than welcome :)

There is no comparrison between the d and westcourt - the d hotel is lovely, modern hotel with a lovely view of the boyne.
Westcourt is a standard 3 star, old fashioned, high street hotel - ok for chrsitmas parties, but not for weddings in my opinion.
Obvioulsy, depends on your budget though.

I mailed the westcourt a short while after I posted here and was told they are in the middle of doing the place up....They still seem to be cheaper but maybe your right and I should just stick to the D.We were in there once recently for a small family gathering but didn't get much of an idea what it would be like since I didn't see the bedrooms or any private function rooms....All I have to do is pick a venue really. But can't decide

I would go for Scholars. It would be ideal for small wedding
