Hi Benny Boy, from what I can remember, you are asked to give explanations for about three or four words from a list of about eight and an essay from a list of options. I think they just want to see how you are at constructing essays. One topic on the list (from two years ago) was to write about your local library, another was about your favourite destination, can't remember anymore, hope this was useful ;)

It was definitely two questions. The 1st was worth 20% and was a list of 5 words. You had to choose two and use them in a sentence to show you understood meaning. I remember strategy was one of them - so not specific history terms.

Then there was an essay worth 80%. I also did it two years ago. They were very general. My favourite city was one. Also something about how you arrived at the point that you wanted to study history. There was something about the Lisbon Treaty which was topical at the time.

    Good luck
