Changing mp4 format to mp3

    Hi guys, I have a voice memo from my iphone that I need to be able to play on a regular cd player. It is an mp4 file on itunes at the minute and when I burn it onto a cd it won't play. Could any of you suggest a way that I could change the format so it does?

    Did you burn it as an audio cd?

    I just transfered it to a burn folder from itunes and hit the burn button. How do I burn it as an audio cd?

    No, you did it wrong. By dragging the files into the Finder you created a mp3 disc. To create an audio cd, you need to add the songs to a new playlist within iTunes. Then with the playlist selected, go File menu > Burn Playlist to Disc and insert a blank cd.
