    I dont know if anyone has had a look at this yet but it puts a lot of emphasis on cycling and public transport. From what I can see while developing more and more cyclepaths is fantastic theres really no point if your bike gets stolen 20 mins after you arrive at work. I think the next step should be to develop proper bike parks with high security around the city and in key other urban areas.
    Anyway this is a public consultation so I am thinking of responding and asking for secure bike parks to be considered as part of this and I am thinking that maybe if a good few people were to lobby for this they may consider it as part of the final strategy. So get typing if you think its a good idea.

    The strategy is here

    "Seeking secure cycle parking in Dublin city
    centre and other town and village centres, in
    particular close to major retail, leisure or cultural
    destinations, as well as at workplaces, education
    facilities and public transport stations and stops;
    and"

    I think they have recognised that requirement.
