The 12 Firefighters that were stood down in County Leitrim have been reinstated after a lengthy day of discussions between NRFA/SIPTU Officials and Management. Their union SIPTU had initially threatened an all out no cover strike if the Assessments were not removed. The result of the meeting is that no Pass/Fail referrals…

The 12 Firefighters that were stood down in County Leitrim have been reinstated after a lengthy day of discussions between NRFA/SIPTU Officials and Management. Their union SIPTU had initially threatened an all out no cover strike if the Assessments were not removed.
The result of the meeting is that no Pass/Fail referrals or assessments are to take place on their BA Refreshers. There are some other issues which are to be dealt with on a National basis.
Well done to the lads and to the NRFA/SIPTU Officials
