I'm booked for a holiday in Essuria, Morocco in 2 weeks time. Flights and Hotel booked. I've been there twice before and it was always peaceful and friendly. But now i hear it's not safe to go. I haven't heard anything much on the news but then theres a lot of big stories around at the moment.

Doe's anyone think I should go or not?

HI Mod - can you move this to AH - I'm getting no response.

Dept of Foreign Affairs as said allready.
If this is moved to AH as you have requested you will get all sorts of nonscence advice.
I haven't heard about any major problems there anyway.

I'm not too sure what you meant by that exactly. How does any of that have any bearing on Morocco ?

    > Is Morocco safe?

Yes, as 'safe' as anywhere I suppose. I was at a conference last year which showed stats to suggest that Ireland's murder rate is 4 times higher than Morocco.

Without knowing where you're going or what you intend to do it's not easy to answer. Most topics on Morocco in here tend to be from female travelers so it's easier to understand what they want to know about in terms of safety.
