Having Driven for thirty five Years as a limo Driver in New York, Find it very difficult to pass the test in Finglas, ( failed Twice ) once for observations once for hazards. Any idea of best test center and strategies . Cant work till I get my irish license.

Nobody likes tests, but remember you spent years driving a large vehicle in a very built up area. You can drive well enough to pass the test in Finglas. You just need to do it on the day. Get the application back in. Get pre-test lessons to make sure you fix the mistakes you made. You don't need to try anywhere different or try any strategies. You just need to get your driving as good as can be for the test and you will pass.

There are free video tutorials on www.DrivingTestTips.ie which will help you.
And get in contact with an ADI in the area.

Normally! Observation and Reaction to Hazards are linked.
To give an example: checking mirrors or looking around to much would mean your not looking where you are going.
Not looking where your going; won't see hazard, won't react.

you are exactly right, i over compensated for failing on observation on the first test...................hence hazards for second test.

I understand your frustration, totally different driving in Dublin than New York.Get some pretest lessons with an ADI and he/she can fine tune any faults that you have.
The very best of luck with the test

Thanks its been 2 weeks now, so have dealt with frustration. And yes over compensated on Observation, hence got hazards. In looking at pass fail statistics Finglas doesnt seem like the place to go with 60% fail rate
Have to wait 3 weeks anyway to re-schedule. Thanks for positive support...............its more than I got from the girlfriend.
