As long as it was powered off and you didn't try to switch it on after the soaking you might be lucky. Place it in a warm place (airing cupboard is good) for about a week or longer. Once completely dry try turing it on.

If its bricked contact Apple with your tale of woe - be nice on the phone and see if they can help you out. :)

Put it in a sealed bag of rice for a couple of days. It will draw the moisture out of it.

+1 to the rice, rescued a Nokia N95 and a Nintendo DS using it

I washed my ipod on a boil wash, thought it was fecked so just threw it in a drawer intending to recycle it with old batteries. Took it out weeks later, it switched on and worked perfect ?:D

The best solution is silica gel, a sock and a zip lock bag.

Put the device in a dry sock. Place it in a zip lock bag with a mountain of silica gel. Take all the air out and place in a warm environment for 12 hours.

Much better than rice if you can get your hands on it.

If two separate incidents yes, but due to the wife hitting a patch of ice and ending upside down in a ditch, both were soaked
