Just thinking forward to this summers holidays, what is the best option for broadband while on holidays (Portugal). I have two dongles, one on 3 and the other on Meteor ... think this one is unlocked. Is it possible to use one of these with a local sim card and a data bundle or does this even exist ?

An unlocked modem will work with any sim card, but you'll need to get this in portugal. If Three Like Home is available there then that might be the best option.

    It won't be Broadband though.

No Broadband operator offers short contracts or PayG. Only Mobile, which is never Broadband. Even if you get 6Mbps it doesn't mean Mobile is Broadband.

Watch out for low data caps and very expensive per Mbyte charges over Cap on Mobile.

If you are at a hotel it might have WiFi connection to Broadband.
