    Hi

I want to be able to sell things on my facebook page.

I think OWJO may be the answer to this, but not sure, maybe there's something else

Can anyone help, or recommend anything to use. It's really just a small number of items I'm wishing to sell

    thanks
    JOhn

    Hi John.

I have my Facebook page set up to sell chosen items from my main website and it works well.
You can use the facebook shopping cart and give discounts etc and get paid through Paypal.

Its not that hard to set up,(use the help function in the accounts section of your page), though I got my FB page done professionally as I'm not that technically minded.

Mine is also connected to my main website, so if your custmers wish to see your complete range they can visit your site easily.

    My shop on Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/happyjanetoys#!/happyjanetoys?sk=app_135607783795

    My welcome page,

If you want some professional help turning your Facebook page into a shop just PM me and I'll put you in touch with a great webdeveloper that isn't that expensive.

    I hope this helps.

    hey john,

    go with owjo

its free, easy to set up and you only pay them if ya sell. Ideal for testing stuff!

Also there is a team in Owjo dedicated to helping you gain more sales, the more sales you get the better for them!

    thanks guys

I've set up a facebook shop, using "Payvment"

I'm wondering though, what are the charges for me? There don't appear to be any, apart from the paypal costs

Payvment are quite different to OWJO, they don't handle any of the financial processing so there's no cost for use of their software (as you mentioned, apart from the regular PayPal fees for the processing).

A similar system is available from VendorShop (and local support from an Irish business) if you wished to look at other similar 'free' systems. Very little to choose between the two, mostly down to personal preference.

OWJO on the other hand provide a different type of system. They handle the processing, removing the need for something like PayPal (and/or merchant accounts, so a huge benefit for a new business in that regard, allowing for greater flexibility in payment methods). The costs would be higher than your existing PayPal fees, but the added flexibility and ability to streamline various shop fronts from the one system still make it a great option to consider.

There's no 'right' or 'wrong' choice, it really depends on your needs (and more importantly your customers needs).
